The next Harry Potter reunion film, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, has earned a promotional image from HBO Max. In this photograph, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint appear in what appears to be the Gryffindor Common Room at Hogwarts.
The three of them can be seen having a lively discussion. If Friends: The Reunion is any indication, we should expect plenty of nostalgia for a film and literary phenomenon that swept the globe. The snapshot teases more similar chats, including insights and disclosures about the movie and filming.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint became overnight celebrities thanks to the film adaptation of Harry Potter, based on the best-selling book series of the same name by British author JK Rowling.
A firm practitioner of black magic, Dark Lord Voldemort, assassinates the boy’s parents, but Radcliffe’s character, the titular Harry Potter, is almost killed by Voldemort. When Harry grows strength, he also learns magic and becomes one of the greatest wizards in history, and he ultimately destroys Voldemort in a climactic duel.
The reunion alludes to a “return to Hogwarts,” the story’s primary setting and the site where Harry first learned about magic. Additionally, the episode will have appearances by Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane; Ralph Fiennes; Jason Isaacs; Gary Oldman; Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, and Evanna Lynch.
HBO Max will air the Harry Potter reunion special on January 1st.
