Islamabad: Mastermind Hafiz Saeed, the Mumbai attack mastermind, has laid the board to polish fate in politics. Mastermind Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks, opened the first office of the Milli Muslim League (MML) here. Just a few days earlier, the Pakistan government had opposed the petition demanding registration of this group as a political party and said that this group will promote violence and extremism in politics.
Saeed has confirmed that his organization under the MML banner will get Jamat ud Dawa (JUD) in the 2018 general election. According to the government, the MML is a branch of the restricted Lashkar-e-Toiba and JUD. The Election Commission had refused to register the group as a political party in October, this order was challenged by MML. Saeed inaugurated the office in Lahore’s National Assembly -120 area. In September, a JUD member was standing in a sub-election.
Despite the refusal of the Home Ministry to register MML as a political party, Saeed is moving forward on the plan to start a political process. The Home Ministry has clarified that jihadi alliances will not be allowed to come into the mainstream. Opening a political office in Lahore tells that there is an ambitious plan to join Saeed’s politics. For the role of terrorist activities, the US has declared Saeed a $ 10 million prize. The government of Pakistan had released Saeed on November 24 from detention.
