GTA 6 gameplay leak suggests it might have a male, female protagonist

One of the most anticipated games of the year may be the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto” part (GTA 6) from American video game publisher Rockstar Games, and now a new rumoured leak has provided a sneak peek at its gameplay.

Tech Crunch reports that the cache of information, which PCGamer found via a GTAForums post by the alleged hacker themselves, contains about 90 videos of game clips, with debug code and interfaces running and supporting the claims.

According to the hacker, who goes by the handle “teapotuberhacker” on GTAForums, they obtained the video by breaking into a Rockstar employee’s Slack account. These leaks seem either authentic or fake made with such meticulous attention to detail and authenticity that they have won over the audience of GTAForums members, who were initially very sceptical.

Male and female protagonist characters are shown in a number of clips from the leak, which is consistent with other reports about what to expect in the upcoming game.

Additionally, they depict gameplay taking place in a fictional city that resembles Miami; this matches early reports about the changes that “GTA 6” will make to the franchise. It’s important to keep in mind that these videos probably depict an older build and may date from as recently as 2017, according to Tech Crunch.

Since “GTA 6” has reportedly been in development since 2014, it is reasonable to assume that development snapshots will come from different builds over the years.

According to Tech Crunch, Rockstar rolled the credits from “GTA 5” and “GTA 5″ Online” on its website earlier this month with the page’s title “Thank You,” which many interpreted as a sign that they were ending active development on the game.
