Google Pay: What is the difference between MPIN and UPI PIN?

Whatever transaction you do with Google Pay, UPI i.e, Unified Payments Interface Personal Identification Number is kept secure. UPI PIN is a 4 or 6 digit number that you have to enter during payment. But you set it only when you log in to the app for the first time.

UPI PIN is one such passcode that you should always remember. If you do not remember this passcode, then you will not be able to do the transaction. At the same time, you have to keep this passcode hidden. You cannot share this passcode with anyone else. Because if anyone gets to know about this passcode, then your account can be empty within seconds.

  1. What is the difference between UPI PIN and MPIN?

MPIN i.e. Mobile Banking Personal Identification Number is a passcode. You use it for transactions through mobile banking app whereas UPI PIN is for UPI based payments.

  • First of all open google pay on your phone
  • Then tap on the photo
  • After that go to bank account
  • Now you have to go to the bank account and click on the UPI ID that you want to see
  • After this, the UPI ID will appear under your bank account.
