
Finally, Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak arrested in corruption case
Kuala Lumpur, Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak arrested on Tuesday for the state development fund 1 MDB corruption case. In a statement, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said that Najib was arrested from his house at 2.35 pm in connection with the investigation of the former MD, MDM, SRC International.
Officials said that Najib was accused of embezzling $ 70 million from the fund established by him in 2009. MACC said that Najib will be charged in the Kuala Lumpur court on Wednesday. Only after facing the defeat in the hands of Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad in May is investigating against Najib. Najib has denied any kind of disturbance.
Earlier on June 28, former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razaq had said that the price of jewelery and other items seized by the police during the raid on properties related to them has been greatly increased.
