Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Deputy Director Andrew McCabe resigned between President Trump’s mouth attacks. Trump has blamed political favoritism on Mccabe. McCabe’s resignation came at a time when the speculation was being made that Trump wants to remove him from the post.
According to media reports last week, Trump had asked for resignation from Mecca in the meeting held at the Oval Office. Maccaban was going to be officially retired in mid-March. He will be entitled to receive salaries from the FBI with all the benefits till he retires.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said, “This is not a White House decision. There is no role in the President’s decision. ” In May 2016 Mccabe became the acting director of the FBI after Trump sacked FBI chief James. However, after this, Christopher Ray was appointed the new director of the FBI.
