Exactly how long will it take for humanity to wake up to the impending doom? To what extent is this subject addressed by Adam McKay in his new satirical comedy, Don’t Look Up? On Tuesday, a new teaser for this star-studded voyage through the age of news was unveiled, showcasing even more footage from the film (November 16).
The video shows Jennifer Lawrence’s persona unleashing her rage on the people around her, with her hair dyed a bright red and her fringe severed.
Furthermore, a new poster for the film has been unveiled, which you can see in the gallery below.
Dr Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his student Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), both Oscar winners, are tasked with warning the world of an impending comet impact that could have catastrophic consequences.
It becomes clear that many people do not care about impending doomsday, and many choose to remain in denial as the apocalypse draws closer.
Kate and Randall do everything to awaken everyone to the impending doom that awaits the human race.
In the movie, Meryl Streep portrays President Orlean, while Jonah Hill portrays her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason Orlean.
Cate Blanchett and Tyler Perry star as The Daily Beat hosts Brie and Jack, respectively, who are both exceedingly chirpy, if not wholly clueless, morning show hosts.
Timothee Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi, Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, and Tomer Sisley are also cast members of the film.
On December 10, “Don’t Look Up” will begin its theatrical release. Netflix has scheduled the film’s release for December 24. “Bird Box” and George Clooney’s “Midnight Sky” are both on Netflix’s “holiday week tentpole” list, thanks to their recent streaming debuts. The film’s official trailer may be seen here.
