Dilip Ray is much known in India for his work as the union priest of state for coal. He worked under the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1999 and his work at that time was well known.
But now as per the news, Dilip Ray has been sentenced by CBI Court of New Delhi. The reason behind his sentencement is said to be his mis-activities in coal blocks in Jharkhand. It is said by the court that he was involved in many mis-activities in Jharkhand’s coal block in 1999, almost 20 years back from now.
This statement in CBI Court was passed by judge Bharat Parashar, he said that Dilip Ray was the Coal minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in 1999 but he was at the time involved in many criminal activities that hes led to this present sentence. Earlier, in the same case, two more authorities were sentenced by this CBI Court that were Pradip Kumar Banerjee and Nitya Nand Gautam and overseer of Castron Technologies Ltd Mahendra Kumar Agarwalla.
“There was a deliberate exertion by method of criminal scheme to encourage misappropriation of the significant nationalized characteristic assets of the nation,” the court said.
The appointed authority sentenced the four people and two firms for the supposed offenses under segment 120-B (criminal scheme), 420 (cheating) and 409 (Criminal break of trust) of IPC and the applicable arrangements of Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act. The court will hear contentions on the quantum of sentence on October 14.
The case relates to the supposed anomalies in the portion of the Brahmadiha coal block in Giridih in Jharkhand to Castron Technologies Ltd in 1999. Beam is the main clergyman of the recent NDA government who has been indicted in the coal trick case.
