This week, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth startled fans by announcing their separation. After 18 years as “friends, couple, and parents,” the pair stated their wish to part ways.
Kasthuri Raja, Dhanush’s father, has described his son’s split from wife Aishwarya as a ‘family quarrel’ and has refuted any divorce rumors. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa, a filmmaker and Rajinikanth’s eldest daughter, announced their separation on social media sites.
In an interview with the Dailythandhi newspaper, Kasthuri Raja stated that a quarrel caused Dhanush and Aishwaryaa’s breakup. “It’s a family feud that mainly occurs between married couples.” Raja clarified that this isn’t a divorce. He went on to say that they were not in Chennai but rather in Hyderabad. He also claimed to have given them advice.
Dhanush posted, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better”.
In 2004, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth married. Yatra (2006) and Linga (2008) are their two sons (2010).
