Why is China and Japan known enemies?

Strategy and Stories World

Whenever it is a matter of enmity with Japan and China, it is remembered that in 1937, which started in Chinese city Nanjing in December this month, is remembered.

Japanese soldiers started killing the city of Nanjing in their own possession, killing, raping and robbing. This murder began in December 1937 in December, and lasted until March of 1938.

According to estimates of the historians and charity organizers of that time in Nanjing, two to three lakh people were killed. Most of them were women and children.

A large number of women were also raped. Although most of Japan’s historians deny slaughter at this scale. They acknowledge the rape and murder but deny a large number of them. It also says that all these things happened during the war.

War of China and Japan
In 1931, Japan invaded Chinese Manchuria. This attack was carried out by Japan after an explosion that was held near the Japanese control Revlay. During this period, Chinese soldiers were unable to compete against Japanese soldiers and Japan took many Chinese territories in their possession.

Japan strengthened its grip on China and China was trapped in the Civil War of Communists and Nationalists. China’s nationalist leader Chiang Kai-shek declared Nanjing the national capital.

Many Japanese thinks that Japan’s excesses in China have been extensively presented in the text book. Although it is a historical fact that in 1931, Japan had aggressively captured Manchuria in China.

As a result, a widespread war broke out in 1937 and after the death of millions of Chinese, in 1945 it ended with the end of World War II.

In the Second World War East Asia became a battleground for war. In this area, the second world war has had a major role in bringing national Assima to the center. China has gone a long way in economic and military power in today’s time, but its past has also played an important role in this journey.

China made its humiliating history part of the textbooks and told the next generation that how much of their country has suffered humiliation.

China reminds its citizens that it had suffered from oppression before the 1830s from the opium war to the second world war. Chinese citizens are not allowed to forget that how the insurgents of Japan and the West have insulted.

China announced the anniversary of December 13 every year in memory of people killed in Nanjing in 2014. China has also demanded apology for the Nanjing massacre from Japan.

China had said that Shinzo Abe should apologize after coming to Nanjing Memorial Building. When UNESCO decided to save documents related to the Nanjing genocide as a world record, Zapan expressed strong objection and also stopped funding for UNESCO.

According to Pew Research, citizens of Japan and China also have a lot of bitterness. According to Pew Research, only 11 percent of Japanese hold positive opinion about China, while 14 percent Chinese have a good opinion about Japan.

It is said that in the Mao period between 1949 and 1976, the killings in Nanjing were neglected. One reason for this is that during that period civil wars between the communists and the nationalists were spreading in China.

Nationalists had declared Nanjing national capital and in the 1930s very few communists lived in this city.

After the defeat of nationalists in China, integration was started in 1949. Communists claim that they also won war against the Japanese and had won in the civil war also.

Six years after the death of Mao, the situation swiftly changed. In July 1982, the Education Minister of Japan published a text book and it was suppressed by Japan’s role in World War II.

Problems at the level of citizens

China felt that if Japan is forgetting its role, then it will not let her forget it. China opened a museum attached to this genocide and only after a few weeks of Japanese textbook. Before 1982, no document was published in China about the Nanjing genocide.

China and Japan are the world’s second and third largest economy. The problem between the two countries is not only at the diplomatic level but also at the level of the citizens.

There was a dispute between the two countries on the two small islands. One island is Sankaku which is in Japan and the other is Island Diu, which is in China. The two countries had increased patrols of their respective air forces here.

If there is a dispute between the two countries, the dead bodies of history are eroded. On the other hand, attempts are made to improve relations, then the past is remembered.

‘Even once in 1500, the relationship is not well’

Taro, as Japan Deputy Prime Minister, had come to India in 2006. At that time, he said in a statement: “There is no such incident in history since the past 1500 years when our relations with China have been well-corrected.”

In 1972 Japanese Prime Minister Kakui Tanaka visited China. He tried to improve relations with China in this tour. Japan, which had seen so much military aggression on China from the 1930s to the 40s, the Chinese leader Mao hosted the Japanese PM.

Mao was asked to apologize to Japanese PM Kakui, then he said that there is no need for it. Mao said that without the Japanese invasion, the communist revolution was not possible in China.

Enemy enemy, friend?

Even today, the Communist Party is ruled by China and Shi Jinping has been given the same rating as Mao. Mao even forgot Japan’s past attack, but Shi Jinping has refreshed it. The tension between the two countries is evident in East China Sea. Japan is also with Taiwan, USA and Malaysia on South China Sea.

China is in action in connection with the growing relationship between India and Japan. With the help of Japan, India is developing infrastructure on the border with China. On the other hand, North Korea is a threat to Japan.

The good relationship between North Korea and China is not hidden from anyone. If China and Japan have hostile history, then it is the same between India and China. In such a situation, it is not difficult to understand the friendship between India and Japan.
