Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji reacts to the trolling
The two words “love storiyan” in the new song of Brahmastra Kesariya, which seems to disrupt the symphony, have drawn criticism, in addition, to praise for its music. Director Ayan Mukerji has spoken out about it and strongly thinks that the public will come to love it, despite the fact that lead actor Ranbir Kapoor has responded to the jokes and memes.
Ayan said, “Yeh bahut chal raha hai kal se. Humne bahut pyaar se dala tha, interesting sa twist daala—interesting sa twist laga tha, we did not find it like elaichi, like bahut shakkar mein namak ka twist (This has been going on since yesterday. We put the lyrics with great love, and it was an interesting twist, like salt in much sweet—that kind of taste). In some time, people will start enjoying it even more. That’s my feeling.”
Ranbir also defended the song in a press conference, saying, “Today, memes and trolling are all part of life and it’s fine as long as people enjoy the song, Pritam’s music and Arijit Singh’s singing. I want them to enjoy my chemistry with Alia and that’s what the endeavour is.”
Ayan Mukerji has discussed the work required to release the song. Alia Bhatt emphasised during the Instagram Live that Ayan “hadn’t slept” the night before and that they had been continually working through numerous iterations of the song for months. Everything has stopped to make this, Ayan stated.
Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy, will hit theatres on September 9.
