On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted a message. Modi said in Hindi that Munda Ji “always battled to defend the interests of tribal society while putting a sharp edge to the freedom cause” in his message.

Also, “His contribution to the country will always be remembered,” he wrote on Twitter.

The tribal independence fighter’s birthday is being commemorated as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas by the government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Madhya Pradesh later in the day to inaugurate several programs to improve the lives of India’s tribal population.

Birsa Munda, who was born on November 15th, 1875, had a significant impact on the history of modern India. People remember him for his role in energizing Native Americans to resist the British and forgetting the British government to enact legislation safeguarding Native Americans’ land rights.

Munda Ji had a profound impact on the lives of the country’s indigenous peoples during his brief but illustrious life. In 1900, he was 25 years old when he died.

PM Modi also paid his respects to the people of Jharkhand, a state that was created on the anniversary of Birsa Munda’s birth in 2000. The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the land of Birsa Munda will continue to grow and prosper, citing the state’s unique distinctiveness and distinct culture.
