Attack On Titan: Mikasa’s Actress Describes How the Lead role Feels about Eren in Season 4

In the last season of Attack on Titan!, the voice actress behind Mikasa Ackerman explored the heroine’s love for Eren Yeager. The series’ fourth and final season is now bursting as the series’ endgame has begun in earnest, and viewers have finally witnessed what Eren has been striving for all along. The unveiling of his great scheme will rock the rest of the series, and while it threatens the entire globe, it’s still a personal conflict between Eren and his closest allies.

“I suppose my initial comment, as an actor, when I found out about the huge transformation in Eren’s character during Season 4, Part 1, was really,” Nishimura said, “[Bryce Papenbrook, the voice behind Eren Jeager] contacted me and said, ‘Oh, my god, have you seen it yet?’ ‘Do you have any idea what’ll happen?’ ‘I don’t know,’ I said. ‘I’m not sure.'” As Nishimura noted, being an actress was once an intriguing proposition “And as an actor, I was envious of Bryce’s ability to play a variety of roles. He has the opportunity to do everything, which is usually a lot of fun for an actor. ‘Oh man, that’s insane,’ I thought.”

It was a different scenario entering into the booth and bringing the events to life “Then getting into the booth because that’s when I’m no longer myself. That’s someone else entering the booth and impersonating Mikasa’s English voice and responding to everything… Responding as Mikasa to what Eren says was startling and upsetting in the same way it would be shocking and heartbreaking if Bryce said similar things to me, Trina since Eren and Bryce are where my brain travels and I convey those emotions and things to people.”

As Nishimura wrapped up, she mentioned how she faced all of Eren’s hostility front on, much like Mikasa would in those crucial moments “As an actress, you draw on your own experiences. So it was like Bryce was screaming these horrible things to me in my head, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, why?'” But, as viewers have already seen, Mikasa’s story is far from done. But, what are your thoughts? So far in last season of Attack on Titan, how do you feel about Mikasa and Eren’s changing relationship?
