Anushka Sharma started filming for Chakda ‘Xpress
After months of cricket training, actress Anushka Sharma began filming her forthcoming movie Chakda ‘Xpress. This will be her first film since Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif co-starred in Zero in 2018. Anushka went to Instagram on Sunday to share some behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot. Chakda ‘Xpress is a Netflix original film based on the life of former Indian cricket captain Jhulan Goswami.
Anushka tweeted a video of her vanity van, which included a poster for the flick on the door. She also included a sneak glimpse of cricket balls that appeared to have been taken from the set of the movie. The caption read, “Back to where I belong.” Her brother Karnesh Sharma, who is supporting the film through his production company Clean Slate Filmz, also sent her a welcome message with gifts. “Thanks for the ‘must haves’ for this new journey! Most thoughtful crew,” she said in response to his comment.
Anushka’s fans wished her well in the comments section of her Instagram post. Cricketer Virat Kohli, her husband, used a sequence of heart emoticons. Several emojis were used by actors Ranveer Singh and Jhulan Goswami in response to the post.
Chakda Xpress, directed by Prosit Roy, is based on the biography of Jhulan, the second Indian woman cricketer to be awarded the Padma Shri in 2012. It marks Anushka’s return to acting after a long hiatus. Vamika, Anushka and Virat’s daughter, was born in the year 2021.
Chakda ‘Xpress was first revealed by Anushka Sharma in January 2022.
