‘Amita ka Amit’ actor, Jagesh Mukati passes away.

Television actor Jagesh Mukati passed away on the 10th of June 2020, Wednesday. Jagesh’s friend and famous Gujarati theatre actor Sanjay Goradia confirmed the news of his demise on Wednesday at 3pm.

Jagesh Mukati was featured in a number of TV shows like Amita ka Amit, Shree Ganesha. He was also a Gujarati theatre actor and played in many plays and shows. Apart from that, he was also seen in Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Hasee Toh Phasee.

Goradia said, “Jagesh was hospitalised on Friday last week, but he never told anyone about it because he didn’t want anybody to be stressed, especially because there is so much worry about COVID-19 these days. Jagesh had asthma and obesity – related health issues for many years. He was working out and dieting, but then the lockdown began, and he couldn’t continue his work-out, So, his asthma started getting worse. Last week, when he got breathless, he was taken to CritiCare hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. His oxygen level was low. He was tested for Covid-19 because that’s the protocol. His test results came negative.”

To this, the actor further added, “Yesterday, suddenly he got an asthma attack and was kept on a ventilator. Later in the day, he passed away. He was only 47 years old.”

Jagesh Mukati’s funeral was held on the 10th of June, Wednesday, in the evening.

Tarrak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Ambika Ranjankar, also known as Komal Haathi in the the popular TV show, mourned the demise of her friend, Jagesh on Instagram.

She posted a photo of them together from a shoot and wrote, “Kind, supportive and terrific sense of humour… gone too soon … May your soul attain sadgati… Shanti … Jagesh you’ll be missed dear friend.”
