
Again bomb attack on Kabul. Explosion near the meeting of top clerics, 2 dead.
Kabul, A suicide bomber exploded near a gathering of top clerics in Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital. According to Tolo News, at least 14 people have been killed in this blast so far. This number is expected to increase. Shortly before the attack, clerics issued a fatwa and described suicide attacks as ‘haram’.
In Kabul, Police spokesman Hashmat told local broadcasters Tolo News, “Our primary information shows that the suicide attack happened when the guests were leaving the auditorium. This meeting took place around 11.30 in the morning. “No organization has taken responsibility for this attack so far.
He said, “Unfortunately some people have died and some have been injured but we do not know how many people are there.” They said that the explosion was outside the auditorium. A security source confirmed that this is suicide attack.
Fatwa was released a while ago
Afghan Ulema Council issued a fatwa in a meeting of about 2,000 council members in Kabul before the bombing on Monday. The Council includes people of cleric, scholar and religion and law authority. The council had urged the Afghan government’s army and the Taliban and other militants to fight the fight and agree on the ceasefire. He also called for peace talks between the two sides. This is the first time the council has made such an appeal. Council member Ghofranullah Murad read out a written statement of the meeting that innocent innocent men, women and children of Afghanistan are victims of war.
