Adipurush: Prabhas learned pure English for the role of Lord Ram

Entertainment

The wait for Prabhas’ next feature begins as soon as a film of his calibre (such as ‘Bahubali’) is released. He will next be seen in the film ‘Adipurush,’ following ‘Radhe Shyam.’ Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon co-star alongside him in the film. The film is based on the Ramayana narrative. Om Raut is the film’s director. In the film ‘Adipurush,’ Prabhas plays Lord Ram. Ravana will be played by Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon as Sita. Every day, according to director Om Raut, has been a challenge for the film. He expresses his gratitude to producer Bhushan Kumar for this.

“Ramayana has always had a strong influence since ages. I am depicting the ‘Parakrama’ (splendor and magnificence) side of Ram, which has had a great impact on me,” Raut said.

Raut revealed that working on ‘Adipurush’ has given him a greater sense of purpose in life, as well as the opportunity to work with stars like Prabhas and Khan.

Om Raut claimed he put forth a lot of effort for this job because he was working with Prabhas. From speaking English to practising body language, there’s a lot to learn. ‘When it comes to the role, every actor has a list of what he has to do. Prabhas had it too and he followed that list. I asked him to work on his body shape. Prabhas is in the role of Lord Rama who is an archer and archers have different body shape, like V. Their shoulders are broad and their waist is thin. Prabhas has worked on his body’, Om Raut revealed in an interview.

‘Prabhas has also taken training in speaking pure English. He worked on perfecting his pronunciation. Telugu is his mother tongue but he had to practice it too as he had to speak pure Telugu. And above all, he had to remain calm. Surely Prabhas has gorgeous eyes which makes him achieve it. He is perfect for Adi Purush,’ says Om Raut.

Khan will portray Lankesh, while Kriti Sanon will play Janaki, in the film, which will be released in 3D on January 12, 2023. In November of last year, the filmmaker, who is renowned for the Ajay Devgn-starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, said that the team had completed filming in 103 days.
