Bollywood actor Sonu Sood is often seen in news and headlines for his great work during the novel coronavirus pandemic. Sonu Sood – the on-screen villain but a real-life hero, has been a messiah for many.

Sonu Sood along with his friend arranged transportation for many migrants using his own income. He helped many of the poor people to reach home. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he’ll be writing a book on his experience during this pandemic while helped the workers.

As of now, the book doesn’t have a title but we know that it will be published later this year by Penguin Random House India’s Ebury Press Imprint.

In an interview regarding the launching of the book, Sonu said, “For me, this journey started when I started seeing visuals of lakhs of migrant workers walking on the road with little kids during the lockdown. It pained me that these children will continue to be haunted by these memories when they grow up.” He then spoke about the migrants at Kalwa Chowk and said, “They requested for food to be packed for 10 days to last during their long walk to their hometown in Karnataka. That really impacted me, and I managed to get permission to transport them back.”

He then talks about how everyone trusted him and that made him really happy. He actor said, “I have barely been sleeping, spending 16-17 hours taking requests and spending time on the field. But I think it is the wishes of the migrant workers and their families that have given me the zeal to work. Their faith in me has been inspiring – that if Sonu has committed, he will make us reach home for sure.”

Everyone adores Sonu and apparently he has befriended the workers and has many friends all over India. In a statement, he said, “I now feel that a part of me lives in the villages of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttarakhand, and more. They have become my extended family,” he says.

Talking about his upcoming book, Sonu says, “It will be challenging but this endeavor will not end. I wanted to put these experiences and stories, embedded in my soul, in a book and share it with everyone. Later, when people go through it, they will get to know of these families from all across India and be part of their journey.” I’m really excited about the launch of this amazing book, are you?
