Business Education Featured Lifestyle

Steven Paul Jobs was an American business magnate, industrial designer, investor and media proprietor. He is best known as the chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), and co founder of Apple Inc. Steve Jobs was one of the most successful man and an inspiration for all. Steve Jobs worked very hard to achieve all that he had. He left all of us with an ambition to be successful. Here are 8 important lessons we all need to learn from Steve Jobs.

• Follow your heart

You must always follow your heart. Almost everything- all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or fear of failure- all these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die someday is the best way I know to avoid falling in the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is absolutely no reason to not follow your heart.

• Go for home run

Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected. One home run is much better than two doubles.

• Trust yourself

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something- your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever you want. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

• Pick Carefully

People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But it means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that are there. You need to pick carefully and choose wisely.

• Steal great ideas

Think and look for great ideas. If you still can’t find, sometimes it’s okay to take inspiration. We should always be shameless about stealing great ideas, but give credits.

• Work hard to make it simple

Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works. Simple can be harder than complex. You have to work hard to get your thinking clean and make it simple.

• Love What you do

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love the work that you do.

• Don’t lose faith

Never give up, no matter what. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Just have faith and keep going. Time heals everything. Don’t ever lose faith and be confident.
