At least 25 people have died in the eruption of ‘Walken de Fuego’, the most active volcano in Central America. This is the second blast within a year. 20 others have also been injured due to the blast, along with about 2000 people have been taken to safer places.
The ash and smoke coming out of the volcano spread over the surrounding villages. National disaster organizer Sergey Cabanas said that after the incident of the volcano erupting around 44 kilometers away from Guatemala City, many people went missing.
After the explosion in the volcano, the ash spread to an altitude of about 12 thousand 346 feet. The aviation officials have also shut down the airport’s airport at the airport due to the threat to aircraft from the ashes.
