Vodafone Idea, a telecom company, has reported an unified loss of Rs 5,005.7 crore in the third quarter ended December, 2018. The company had a loss of Rs 1,284.5 crore in the same quarter a year ago. However, the figures of both financial years can not be compared because the merger of Vodafone Idea was completed on August 31, 2018. However, the company’s losses have increased on quarter-quarter basis.
During the quarter, the company’s total income stood at Rs 11,982.8 crore, which is 52 percent more than the figure of Rs 7,878.6 crore in the July-September quarter.
Valsad Idea Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Balesh Sharma said that the steps that were taken at the beginning of the quarter ended with the enthusiasm of the end of the quarter. Sharma said that on the integration front we are growing faster than expected, especially on the front of the network. Total income of the company was Rs 6,551.6 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
