Washington, US President Donald Trump will celebrate Diwali in his ‘Oval Office’ on Tuesday. White House gave this information. In a statement on Thursday, Raj Shah, deputy assistant of President Trump, said, “The President will celebrate Diwali by lighting a lamp in its Oval Office on Tuesday.”
Trump greeted the people celebrating Diwali all over the world on Wednesday and said that this is a special opportunity to strengthen the relationship between friendship between India and America. The President said that the first lady Melania Trump is with her to celebrate a happy and memorable Diwali.
Trump also termed the contribution of the Indian-American community in the development of the United Nations as “extraordinary”. Republican National Committee chief Ronna McDaniel also gave people the best wishes to Diwali.
