Washington, The Trump Administration praised India for critical anti-terrorist measures on Wednesday and said that Pakistani terrorist groups continue their attacks in India. The US State Department said in its annual report ‘Country Report on Terrorism’ that Indian leadership has done commendable work to prevent terrorist attacks at home.
In the report, along with India and the United States and similar ideology countries, have pledged to bring terror conspirators in the court of justice. The report said, “India continued to bear the attacks, on behalf of Pakistani terrorist organizations and from tribals and Maoists.” Indian officials attributed Pakistan to the cross-border attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
The US said on Wednesday that the Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Toiba terror groups are continually creating regional threats. The report said that Pakistan did not pay enough attention to US concerns over terrorism in 2017. The US State Department said in the annual country report on terrorism for 2017, although al-Qaida has been weakened in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but its regional organization in the Indian subcontinent continues its activities in the al-Qaeda region.
It said, “Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba are still a regional threat in the subcontinent. Pakistan has not paid adequate attention to these concerns in 2017.
