We need to take 5G technology in every corner of India. Only 2021 will be available for cheap devices that can support the 5G platform.
He said that so far 5G technology is not available for mobile devices, but it is believed that such devices will be available till 2019. Now Geo has been given the spectrum for 5G internet trials. The company also displayed the driver’s car of Ericsson, a Swedish company run on 5G technology.
Matthew also said that telecom tariff can not be extended yet because many people are still using feature phones and smartphones have not been upgraded. He said, “There are still 40 million people using feature phones, so the tariff can not be extended without reaching them.” He said that we should take inspiration from the Internet companies of China and the US that have advanced on the basis of data usage.
